StrikeUP continues to break barriers with the Scotiabank Women Initiative

Cobourg, ON – StrikeUP Canada is thrilled to welcome back the  Scotiabank Women Initiative® as it’s co-presenting for StrikeUP 2023, Canada’s largest digital conference for women entrepreneurs.

We’re thrilled to partner with StrikeUP Canada and continue to support and build a thriving community of female entrepreneurs across the country,” said Jason Charlebois, Senior Vice President of Small Business at Scotiabank. “Events like StrikeUP 2023 further support the mission of the Scotiabank Women Initiative to break down barriers and to increase economic and professional opportunities for women to be successful now, and in the future.

StrikeUP 2023 will take place on March 2, 2023 and will bring together more than 4,000 women entrepreneurs from across Canada and provide access to mentorship, financing and networking. This year’s event will feature high profile speakers like Michele Romanow and Bobbie Racette. It will also feature an indigenous program stream dedicated to amplifying the stories of indigenous women entrepreneurs from across the country.

We’re grateful for the immense support we have continued to receive from the Scotiabank Women Initiative,” said Wendy Curtis, Executive Director of NCFDC. “Their leadership and devotion to support women entrepreneurs has made them a key ally within our growing StrikeUP community and we look forward to embarking on the next chapter of StrikeUP together.”

Continuing to work together to deliver a vision of equity and inclusive economic growth, StrikeUP and the Scotiabank Women Initiative will host a funding workshop led by experienced experts in the field of finance, investing, and entrepreneurship to provide effective funding strategies, tips, and advice to business owners. StrikeUP’s new virtual video networking platform will also grant attendees the opportunity to network directly with the team at the Scotiabank Women Initiative to learn more about the tools and resources available through their signature program.
