Investing in the Power & Potential of Indigenous Women Entrepreneurs

NACCA and the AFIs provide financial support and guidance to Indigenous women entrepreneurs. In 2022, the Indigenous Women’s Entrepreneurship (IWE) Program launched across 32 AFIs in Canada. Through the program, Indigenous women have access to dedicated Business Support Officers, routine workshops and training, and micro-loans to help kick start and grow their businesses. In addition, women entrepreneurs can access tools and information including:

    • Research on Indigenous women entrepreneurs
    • Self-Assessment Guides
    • Financial Workbooks
    • Micro-business planning guides
    • Stories of successful Indigenous women entrepreneurs

Together, NACCA and AFI network share the goal that by 2025, the number of Indigenous women accessing financing through the AFI network will increase by 50%. To achieve this, NACCA and participating AFIs are now delivering the IWE Program this year that will provide Indigenous women with access to training and micro-loans.

NACCA can connect you with the right AFI to help you access the fund and the financing you need to start or grow your business. Contact us at IWE@nacca.ca for more information on the IWE Program.
